You'll learn to complete Dive Against Debris surveys under the guidance of one of our PADI instructors and help keep your local dive sites healthier by removing debris.

What do I need to start?
Have a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization) Minimum Age: 12 Years old.
What will I do?
You'll learn:
About marine debris, where it comes from, how it affects marine life, how to remove debris safely etc. How to establish a Dive Against Debris survey, the survey frequency, sites, profiles, and equipment. Also the use of photography and knowing what to leave behind. How to make your survey count. The five easy steps to report the debris you've removed to maximize each survey's benefits. How to join the global Project AWARE movement of scuba divers protecting our ocean planet.
Minimum Open Water Training:
One dive over one day
What will I need?
Before starting the course. You can start by reading the Dive Against Debris Survey Guide, the Marine Debris Identification Guide, and by downloading the Dive Against Debris Data Card from the Project AWARE website.
Included in your course fee is your debris bag. You will receive your debris bag on the day of your course which is yours to keep after completing the course.
