PADI Divemaster Theory Online
Sign up for the PADI Divemaster Online, PADI’s eLearning option, to start now. You can work through eight knowledge development sections using a web-based system that lets you learn at your own pace. You also have access to an online version of the Divemaster Manual for reference during and after the course.
The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. In addition to completing the PADI Divemaster course online (or reading the PADI Divemaster manual and viewing the PADI Divemaster video) you’ll participate in knowledge development sessions with your instructor, water skills exercises, rescue workshops, work with dive classes, and create a dive site map. There is also a two-part exam.
Working closely with a PADI Instructor you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, improve upon what you learned in the rescue diver course, increase your knowledge of diving equipment, environment, physics, and physiology and learn dive management and supervision abilities. You’ll also complete deep and search and recovery training (if you don’t already have these specialties) and learn how to deliver dive site briefings.
CPR and first aid training within the past 24 months, a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months, and at least 40 logged dives to begin the course. Sixty logged dives are needed for certification.
You’ll print out an eRecord after finishing your online training and bring it to your instructor teaching your course.
